  • Roxbury I, 4x per week, 1:1 support

    • 4 class periods
    • weekly report to parents
    • measurable goals
As the premium level of our support program, Roxbury I pairs an individual student with an individual instructor for four class periods weekly. Each Roxbury instructor acts as an academic coach and advocate for the student; partnering with parents, teachers, advisors, athletic coaches, dorm parents, health services and the student to monitor student performance. Roxbury instructors assist students in identifying their strengths and their barriers to learning.

Based on a thorough review of student records, a program tailored to the student’s needs is developed. Any accommodations are reviewed with the student, parents and classroom teachers. With the assistance of classroom teachers and ongoing dialogue with the student, goals are established and strategies best suited to the individual are practiced.

Parents are updated on a weekly basis as part of the ongoing communication loop so integral to achieving the student centered goals below.
