Mia Leko ’18 won her first individual national title, placing first in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2 minutes, 15.15 seconds at the YMCA Long Course National Championship earlier this week in Maryland.
Leko helped the Cheshire Y/Sea Dog Swim Club to its third straight national title.

Leko was four winning relays for the Sea Dogs: 200 free relay (1:47.06); 400 medley relay (4:16.95); 400 freestyle relay (3:57.16); 800 freestyle relay (8:26.69). She also placed second in the 100 butterfly (1:01.47) and fourth in the 200 freestyle (2:05.08).

Leko recently earned her International Baccalaureate diploma and holds six school swimming records at Cheshire Academy. She will swim at Dartmouth College.
