Cheshire Academy will host award-winning author Diane Ackerman on Oct. 18 for an author discussion and book signing.
Ackerman is the author of the New York Times bestseller and Orion Book Award winner, “The Zookeeper’s Wife.” She is a poet, essayist and naturalist, and author of two dozen highly acclaimed works of nonfiction and poetry, according to her website. Ackerman has also written New York Times bestsellers “A Natural History of the Senses,” “The Human Age” and Pulitzer Prize finalist “One Hundred Names for Love.”
Ackerman will speak at 10 a.m. at the Dining Commons followed by a RJ Julia Booksellers-sponsored Q&A and book signing. She will also spend some times eating lunch with students and visiting classrooms. Students can prepare for the visit by reading or watching “The Zookeeper’s Wife.”
