Get ready to laugh.

Cheshire Academy Student Theatre will perform “The Importance of Being Earnest” next week for its fall production. The comedy was written by Oscar Wilde and made its debut in 1895.

There will be three shows at the Black Box Theatre – Nov. 1-3 – beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets (info below) are required for all shows but there is no charge. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

Students are rehearsing three hours per day and spending free time running lines with each other. They are working with props, doing costume changes and all set changes for the entire show. Marc Aronson, play director and English department chair, said this is the first full comedy for the fall production in some time.
