Cheshire Academy is home to students from over 30 different countries who chose the Academy because of our reputation as one of the best private schools in the USA. The tradition of enrolling international students at Cheshire Academy dates back to 1850, making this school among the first to enroll students from other countries.
The Global Student Union (GSU) is a group of students who work with the International Student Coordinator to organize trips and activities that highlight our diverse Global community. In the fall, students typically take a trip during the November break to visit colleges on the West Coast, and participate in a community service spring break trip. One unique event is our International Festival Weekend. We invite students to represent their respective cultures to celebrate their traditions. This exciting annual event is full of traditional food, education and music. Another Cheshire Academy tradition are our International Dinners. Faculty and Staff open their homes and invite students to cook and learn about authentic cuisines from around the world with a series of dinners throughout the school year.
